About Pocket Film Challenge
The Pocket Film Challenge is a one-day workshop for young people under 25 who want to make a short film using only their smartphone.
Working in small teams, participants will create a film in one day — from idea, to script, to shooting, to editing. At the end of the workshop, all films will be shown and then uploaded to Instagram @cult_experiences, where the audience will vote with likes.
The winning team will receive exciting prizes: a full day of free professional film equipment, a discount for Cult Experiences Academy 2026, and a free submission to the Cult Experiences Festival.
This workshop is all about creativity, teamwork, and telling stories with the tools you already carry in your pocket.
Schedule for the Day
17:00–17:30 Story Principles
17:30–18:30 Scriptwriting
18:30–20:30 Shooting
20:30–21:30 Editing
21:30–22:30 Feedback & Screening
Team Setup & Rules
Teams of 3 to 5 (so everyone has a role)
For young creators under 25
Bring your own smartphone (that’s the only equipment you need)
Respect the festival (no disturbing stalls, visitors, or performances)
Filming only inside the festival area
Films must be original (created during the workshop)
Submit your final film before the deadline to compete for the award
Delivery
Final films must be uploaded by the next day before 16:00.
A delivery link will be provided at the workshop
Late uploads will not be eligible for the Audience Award

All films will be posted on Cult Experiences Instagram @cult_experiences.
